This regional library in the community of Glen Avon serves residential neighborhoods that are both industrial and rustic in character. The use of steel forms, exposed wood beams, and corrugated steel panels introduces an architectural style that integrates perfectly with the surrounding community. Use of industrial building materials kept the costs down. The 20,000 square foot two-building complex, funded by the Riverside County Economic Development Agency (EDA), includes a community room, a story room and a child care facility. It was constructed in 1995 at a cost of $2.4 million.
